Interview: George “Ferocious” Kambosos

What are your goals in the Boxing world?

It’s to become a world champion, it’s been my ultimate goal as a very young kid when I started this journey many many years ago. To become a world champion would mean the world to me, I’m going to continue working hard, sacrifice and stay dedicated, staying focussed to become a world champion.

How do you prepare 1 week out from the fight?

It’s very simple. I pull it back, I make sure the body is fully recovered, no injuries, I have a lot of energy and I’m ready to put it all on the night to make a big statement. About two weeks out from the fight I pull back my sparing, cause I feel like when I come to the fight I’m like a caged animal, I’m ready to be released, I’m ready to put it all in the ring, all on the line, kill or be killed… I’m a hungry animal in that ring.

How does the Skroo funnel fit into your training regime?

It fits into my training regime very very well, as a world class athlete, I’m always on the road, I’m always training overseas and having Skroo funnel and the accessibility to having my protein and my recoveries all in a bottle using Skroo makes it very very easy for me to make sure that I’m working on everything on my recovery.

Worst shaker experience?

It was when I was in the Philippines, training extremely hard with Pacquiao and had all my proteins and I forgot my protein shaker…. So I’m trying to put all my proteins and my recovery supplements into a little bottle… I couldn’t find any funnels, so I had a little paper made up, trying to get everything over the desk and put it inside the water…. and unfortunately it just kept going everywhere and everywhere, I kept losing a lot of protein, I wasn’t getting the exact recovery that I needed, I was losing a bit of it… so with Skroo funnel now, I’m using it and it’s awesome, I’m never going to have that problem again and I think you should never have that problem as well.
